I took his brand new Harley Road Glide CVO ST
Let's have a detailed look at the Harley Davidson Road Glide CVO ST with the M8 121 High Output engine. How does it compare to my slightly tweaked Street Glide Special.
So, I took Danny’s gorgeous Harley-Davidson Road Glide CVO ST for a spin. I’ve got to say, this bike is stunning. It’s hard to beat this level of luxury and performance.
Danny and I chat about how the Road Glide CVO ST stacks up against his old Ducati and Fat Boy. He finds the CVO ST a perfect blend of sports performance and touring comfort.
Danny opted to buy the CVO ST straight from the factory instead of customizing a standard model. He felt it was worth it to get all the factory upgrades and features.
The CVO ST’s got a 121 cubic inch VVT engine with around 145 ft-lb of torque and 127 horsepower. It’s quite a step up from the standard Road Glide’s 117 engine.
The Raven Metallic paint is a standout. It’s this deep black with a sparkle that looks even better in person than on camera. Definitely one of Harley’s best paint jobs.
The bike features upgraded suspension with adjustable inverted forks and rear shocks. The Brembo brakes are top-notch, and the ride is impressively smooth and comfortable.
The CVO ST’s got a massive 12-inch display with multiple modes like Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and Custom. The sound system is also fantastic, with a 500W amp that really kicks.
They’ve shaved off 25 lbs with a titanium exhaust, and the adjustable levers are a nice touch. The ergonomics feel great, though I’d probably tweak the seat for a bit more room.
The fairing has been redesigned for better airflow and less buffeting. The suspension’s higher travel offers a more comfortable ride with improved clearance.
At $63,000 in Australia, the CVO ST is pricier than the standard Road Glide, but with all its factory features, it’s a solid option for those who want a top-of-the-line bike without the hassle of custom work.
