Wear This To Be A Real Biker

Wear this to be a real biker - the Harley dress code exposed. What is a real biker and what clothes do you wear? Old school is black leather, but young pups have given this the finger. Are you are real biker and what do you wear?

Let’s discuss this issue and I will expose who is the real deal and what you must wear! Stay to the end of the video for a free give away for one of my subscribers and another great offer just for you - even if you hate me.

Today we are going to talk about clothes. Warm clothes, safe clothes and cool looking clothes because isn’t there a saying “clothes maketh the biker”

What do real bikers wear? Do they wear black leather or is it ok to wear just a T Shirt on your Harley. If you ride hard you need safety gear!

Even if you ride soft – you need safety gear. But would you still be a real biker in safety gear?

To answer these questions and more we need to delve into the often argued question, -- what is a real biker? The question of real bikers vs all sorts of other dudes comes up all the time. It’s interesting but also funny. How do you define it?

The first big bike I had was a Kwaka z1000 – old school! I spent zillions of hours on that bike between Melbourne & the Sunshine Coast in Qld, I bought it straight from a guy who did an armed robbery on it (True story - I didn’t know that of course) -- so the bike was hard core.

I lived from a backpack for a straight 6 months on that bike that made ME hardcore!

BUT… it wasn’t a Harley so maybe I’m not a real biker after all - because I still have some Kawasaki in my blood. What about the 7 Harley’s I have owned? Since the early nineties? The hard riding I do everywhere I go – does that make me a real biker?

What do you think? What is a biker – how do you define it?

What Do Real Bikers Wear?

What do you wear on your Harley or any other motorcycle you ride? If you have seen my other video’s you know I think that booth form and function are important so I say you have to wear great looking clothes – put some effort in!

There’s a standard dress code depending on which groups you hang around with. I guess unless you are in a club it’s voluntary and dependent on taste. People do conform to the group they are in and it takes a strong character to go against the crowd.

There seems to be a huge difference in old school bikers who love black leather and the younger crowd who opt for the more modern look. What about the advances in materials and technology that some would say makes leather redundant in all cases except the MotoGP?

Look at this Resurgence gear, sherpa Jacket I’m wearing? Looks like a normal cool looking jacket. BUT It’s Triple A safety rating, that’s the highest there is. Warmer than my quilt lined leather jacket and

You can wear this into any hardcore biker bar or chatting to the chicks drinking lattes in a café. I even wear it visiting my mum.

Can a real biker wear it?

Getting this jacket a while back has inspired this video because you often see me riding around in a t shirt being pretty casual about safety gear – but that’s because you see mostly summer footage - the Go Pro camera I use, takes the best footage in sunshine and here in summer its often too hot to wear anything more than a T shirt.

BUT

What you don’t see is that I always have some form of safety gear on. At least something and that’s what I want to cover now in this video. What I wear on a day to day basis on the Harley, CE ratings, D30 armour and abrasive material explained. Check out the video for a different take on Biker gear.
