So many people comment and think that Harley Davidson’s are a rip off and over priced in their standard form? In this video I’m also going to take you to a bike show that has some awesome custom bikes – far from the standard Harley Davidson’s you can buy – a dress to impress event for motorcycles.
In Defence Of Harley Davidson
I’m not defending Harley Davidson because they need defending – it’s because I firmly believe that helping you view motorcycles, actually life in general from a different perspective will benefit you -- and step by step one person at a time lead to the world being a better place.
So lets go!
The biggest complaint I hear about Harley’s runs along the line of – It’s a rip off, they are big, heavy, slow and over priced. You buy one and you have to spend even more money to make it good.
And of course this implies that to be a fair deal, they should be smaller, lighter and cheaper? Let me know in the comments if you think that’s the case?
So lets put ourselves into the shoes of Mr Harley Davidson if he were to exist.
The Average Harley Davidson Customer
There are 8.8 million motorcycles registered for the road in the USA in 2023. Only some, maybe most of these people would be interested in what Harley has to offer.
Your average standard Harley must be made for their average typical customer.
So Mr HD probably gets his marketing crew to come up with an avatar representing a typical customer. They will send their best secret agents out into the community and get stats on who’s been buying, who owns what and what do they like and dislike about Harley’s
Let’s guess what that avatar might look like?
Male, interested in motorcycles, conservative, has a decent bank roll, over 40 perhaps a little rebellious or wants to be, maybe he likes the concept of freedom but is tied to a normal life.. that sort of thing. I put a whole 5 mins thought into this – they probably do a lot more lol.
