Harley Davidson’s are the most beautiful motorcycles in the world. Today we are going to discuss beauty as it applies to the world of Harley Davidson motorcycles as I ride to an iconic Melbourne bike show – Bikes On The Hill 3, which features some sensational custom bikes.
Harley Davidson Form Over Function
Harley Davidson motorcycles are iconic and arguably the world’s most beautiful motorcycles. In fact, if we include the world of customisation then the argument is closed because there wouldn’t be another brand of motorcycle that has been customised so much that it’s now art! This brings up the interesting point of form over function.
Let me know what you think about this issue in the You Tube comments. What’s more important for your motorcycle form or function? I would argue that it’s form over function -- as long as there is enough function to do what you want to do.

Harley Davidson Means Motorcycle
When people outside of the motorcycle community think of a motorcycle - - they think of a Harley Davidson.
Harley Davidson motorcycles are not only physically beautiful, but they evoke in people an overall sense of ruggedness, individuality, and freedom. They personify the image of a free spirit and masculinity that the other manufacturers and riders are envious of.
Just like the company name Google means search, Kleenex means tissue and Zippo means lighter Harley Davidson is the word for motorcycle.
Now the HATE team will throw up the following arguments;
What about Ducati’s? Ok,that’s a point, the 916 is a sexy beast.
I’ll even give you a few free points. Triumph Thruxton R and the old nineties Daytona 955
Some Nortons. The occasional Japanese bike maybe a Repsol Honda, or Yamaha R1 in black? I was always partial to Kawasaki’s and love the lime green machine…
but seriously Harley Davidsons are MUCH more beautiful.
They also have more than one beautiful model – they have collections. The haters are also going to say that Harley’s don’t actually look good they are just portraying an image. You are buying into an image.
That’s partially true BUT…
