Which Harley Davidson Should You Buy?

Let's answer the question, which Harley Davidson should you buy? Ride with me as I test the Harley Davidson Low Rider S and attend the Aussie Vicla's show at Harley Heaven Ringwood. We discuss the different types of Harley Davidsons and which Harley you should buy as we do a Harley Davidson size comparison. I also delve into the topic of "does size matter" on a more personal topic - don't miss this.

Which Harley Davidson should you buy – there are three broad types. Perhaps you are thinking Beginner – intermediate – advanced? NO. Dorky – average – cool? NO.

Let’s talk broadly about which Harley Davidson you should buy – small, medium or large and keep watching till the end of the video and we will discuss why size matters or doesn’t matter – let’s see which one it is?

Let me know in the YouTube comments what your opinion is?.. and what size Harley you prefer.

It’s interesting to see each of the Harley’s on the market has an intended market – or customer – that’s you. They are each suitable for different riders. But you have to remember one of the beautiful things about having a Harley is the customisation available. You can almost make any bike look like / or perform like anything you want.

You just cant make a big bike small or a small bike big

Lets have a look this is based on my experience and what I’ve seen in the Harley world.

Small Harley’s

Small Harley’s are like the street 500, Sportsters, Dynas, the discontinued VRod/NightRod and now with the new M8 it includes some of the softail line up, like Street Bob and the Low Rider S

The bike that suits beginners would be the street 500 and all of these small bikes suit people who are smaller in stature AND people who like to throw their bike around the twisties, as these bikes are light and nimble.

Medium Sized Harley’s

Medium Sized Harley’s like Fat Boys, Softail Standards and the Heritage they have been around forever. These are usually the bikes that have been made to look great. These bikes suit almost anyone, I have had plenty of Fat Boys and I’m tall. I’ve seen short riders and light weight women on them too. They are still big heavy bikes, so you need to have the confidence to ride them.

They can look tough. Sometimes they are extravagant. They can be made to look pretty like the Viclas in this video.

Big Harley’s

Then there are the BIG Harley’s - the touring line up. These are ideal if you want to ride distance on the freeways, carry luggage and go away touring on your bike.

Of course some of them are tricked up – and some of them are just plain cool. Check out this hand built Harley that features in this video.

Personally there are two reasons I switched to the big Harley’s and discuss this extensively in the video. I visit the Aussie Vicla show at Harley Heaven Ringwood, in Melbourne Australlia AND i test ride the Low Rider S and compare it to the big Harley’s.

Check out the video for lot’s of bikes, fun and good music as I discuss which Harley Davidson should you buy. Let me know in the comments what you prefer – small medium or large.
